Rated 2 out of 5 by from Hurts when running It’s hard to balance yourself when running in these shoe and I suppose it would be same for any energy boost shoe with similar material sole. My feet really hurts when jogging in these , it feel really comfortable to wear and when walking slow , but while running it really hurts your feet while trying to balance ,imagine running on a foam. Initially I thought of returning these but thought may it will take time to adjust with new shoe , but after a month use it’s still same. Now I am using not so pricey normal adidas shoe without boost (I suppose) and it’s comfortable. For some reason I only buy adidas shoe .

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Long Distance Runner Review This is for all the long distance runners, and I will be talking from a performance perspective. I typically run about 27 miles a week with aerobic, threshold, and speed runs mixed in throughout, so I feel like I give people a good general idea of what to expect if you buy this shoe. First, I bought these at my true to size at size 11, but in these it felt uncomfortable due to the tightness and cage chafing. My foot has an arch and is a little on the wider size, but as the foot naturally swells during running, this cage will rub against the internal sides of your feet causing blistering and hot irritation during your runs. On my pair, I blistered due to poor stitching inside of the left pair due to it's cage. I also for some reason began losing lots of skin on my forefeet. For wider footed people, I would advise looking elsewhere because even while just standing and casually walking, I could tell that my pinky toes were very uncomfortable in the shoes' narrowness. Stability was not an issue due to pretty good containment with the Aramis Tech Fit, Torsion System, and EVA lining above the boost, however this at times felt a bit too heavy, hard, and unbreathable. This shoe's Continental traction was very good on roads, but on grass and dirt you will feel a difference in speed and traction. The boost is very comfortable, and works well at high speeds, but is somewhat muted from all the stability implants mentioned before. Also, there was a little bit of heel slippage even when tightening the farthest holes. I have since returned this shoe, and I hope you took something away from my review.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Wanted to like these shoes but... I thought these would be a beefed up ultra boost. The sole of the shoe is comfortable but the plastic cage holding your foot in place is terrible. Uncomfortable and has a weird bow to it when laced up. The cage was digging in when tightened down. The stretchy material the upper is made of is nice but not when combined with the heavy duty plastic cage. Maybe the next gen shoe will be better. Although, not as much heel slip as Ultra Boost, so I’ve got that going for me... which is nice.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Tighter sole than Ultra Boost I have had knee issue, but with this boost series I do not feel any stress in my knees! It may be partially due to my recent weight loss, but I was able to tell that this pair of shoes plays a significant role. Adidas has been too narrow, but the Boost series has better flexibility for width, I think. I ended up purchasing Energy Boost and Ultra Boost. Energy Boost has a bit tighter sole and the fit is more like classical, compared to Ultra Boost, and I use this one for longer distance. Both are amazing and the best pairs of shoes that I have ever had.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Underrated Energy Boost, Most comfortable Boost sneaker. I own Adidas Ultra Boost, NMD and Energy Boost and Energy Boost are the most comfortable and better made shoe as the other two realistically are promoted more to retailers and the general buying public. The Energy Boost is a running shoe that serves a purpose above just being a fashion driven lifestyle shoe like the NMD and Ultra Boost. I guess a celebrity will need to be seen in public wearing the Energy Boost for this shoe to be properly promoted with Adidas. That point aside, Energy Boost is great a shoe.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great running shoe, have to bring down cost. Love these shoes, but as active runner, will go through 5-6 pairs per year and cost is becoming prohibitive.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Gets too hot The cushioning on these shoes were very good but the upper was not very breathable so my feet would get hot, even on colder days.
