Bought this about a month ago and its broken in very nicely, good grip, leverage, and amazing ankle support and heel locks.

Needed a little breaking in but overall a quality wrestling shoe.

I bought this product about a month ago, and I was very impressed, the only thing I can complain about is the stiffness.

They run about half a size small - order a size up and tie em tight.

Due to limited space, my kickboxing bag hangs over shag carpet. These shoes slide well on the carpet without being too slick. The soles are stiff and have surprisingly good arch support. The shoe is form fit. I've always trained barefoot, but I recently learned that there was a better way to train. My feet think these Mat Wizard 4 Adidas "wrestling" shoes (AC6971) were pretty cheap at $90ish USD (3-24-2021). TL:DR I'd initially gotten a different pair from Dicks (the ASICS Snapdragon 2, white and gold). The laces of those slowly began to cut into my feet, plus the ankle support was subpar. Those shoes gripped the floor too much; the sole had several useless pivot points. For an additional $20, I traded those and got these functional, rad-looking black Adidas shoes. These Adidas shoes have firm and thick padding around the ankle; they hug my heels, ankles, and legs without getting in the way of my kickboxing form. About the size: These are men's shoes, but they fit my B-width female foot with an extra thin ankle snugly (without being tight). While I was at Dick's Sporting Goods, I measured my feet for the women and men's sizes. Standing up, I was measured. I am a Women's size US 7 and Men's US 8. I got the men's 8.5 instead of 8's (to account for swelling and to fit my orthotics). These Adidas shoes fit with nearly an inch from the top edge of the big toe to the top edge of the shoe. The pinky toes don't rub at all, like they did on the seams of the Asics. The laces of the Adidas shoes don't cut in and aren't felt at all. I don't have to constantly adjust my laces due to the fact that they stay firmly in place. My naturally medium-high foot arches are well-supported because of the built in arch support plus my FootLevelers orthotics which I place on top. I can kick and rotate with more stability and power with these. I hope they come out with a Hi-length version in this sleek, black design. I have plenty of control with my ankle with these (shorter) mid-length shoes, but am curious if the more traditional Hi height would work even better. I don't know how much improvement is possible because these shoes seriously rock. I'll update this post when these shoes wear out. I do know one thing: I'll never go back to barefoot training. I hope my sparring partners are okay with that ;)
We bought these recently, in black, and have used them quite a few times. They're comfortable and work well for wrestling. The shoes are soft and lightweight. I would recommend sizing up if you have wide-ish feet, the shoes get narrow towards the end of the sole.

Exactly the fit I remembered from my Vision Quest days.

Great looking pair of shoes with aa very snug fit.

These shoes were overly poorly made. They started to fall apart after a couple months. They wore terrible. The soles started to fall off and needed to be glued before the next pair came. I normally love adidas but would never recommend these.
