Adidas Superstar Ll Brown Nubuck

Review: Adidas Superstar II BROWN nubuck The nubuck material on this shoe is excellent quality and easily one of the best parts of the sneaker. It feels premium, soft, and durable, giving the shoe a stylish and high-end appearance. The rubber midsole and classic shell toe cap are also excellent quality. The detailing on the toe cap is intricate and well done, adding to the iconic Superstar look. The outer midsole stitching is clean and strong, and the outsole feels durable with good overall construction underneath the shoe. However, the upper accent materials, especially around the heel tab and the signature stripes, are disappointing. The edges of these materials were not cleaned or sanded properly during manufacturing. When touched or brushed, loose fibres come off easily and make the shoe look messy, which takes away from the premium feel. Another issue is the tongue design. The tongue is very stiff, and the edges are hard and inflexible. The tongue also bends in awkward directions, which causes discomfort on the upper part of the foot during wear. The insole is another weak point. It lacks cushioning and feels hard and cheap underfoot. Comfort overall is average — there is nothing particularly impressive about it, but nothing terrible either. When removing the insole, the internal stitching quality is mostly good, but there are noticeable loose cotton threads inside the shoe. Some of these loose threads appear to come from the inner and outer midsole stitching and were not properly trimmed during production. There is even a small piece of tape holding some of the loose thread together, which feels sloppy for a shoe at this price point. For around R2000, you are mainly paying for the style, materials, and iconic design rather than comfort. The shoe looks premium and uses quality nubuck and rubber materials, but the finishing details and comfort do not fully match the price.
