Speed With Support
As someone who has been running for a year now and is looking to improve his race times without making the move to carbon plates, I find these shoes ideal for speed training or long sessions at a fast pace. Despite mixed reviews about the previous model (boston 12), I have not had any issues with this model. I was initially between this model and the evo sl, so my recommendation would be that if you already have shoes that give you maximum comfort and are looking for speed, this is definitely the pair for you. I use them for my interval sessions and competitions and they work great. Without a doubt, the energy Rods plus the foams of this model allow you to get the most out of fast training. On the other hand if you are looking for a more "versatile" shoes and I would have gone for the Evo sl. For reference and hopefully useful, I use: -Super nova prima and rise 2 (for recovery sessions, soft sessions and/or long sessions at a moderate pace) -Boston 13 (for intervals/fartlecks, fast sessions and competitions). As a final note, yes they are "aggressive" shoes because of their technology so I wouldn't recommend it to someone just starting to run because it could be counterproductive.

A Worthy Successor
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm loving the updates to the Boston 13. The few minor issues I had with the twelves have been addressed and the new version is next level. My only issue I'm dealing with, the 13 seems a slight bit shorter so I can't decide if I should have gone up a half size. A few long runs will tell me for sure, but either way, Adidas has done a great job with the newest version.

One Shoe For All Running Days
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Responsive and comfortable. Great for long days and speed work. All around shoe that works well for any day. More comfortable than Boston 12’s which I also loved, but toe box slightly narrower which limits splay. Wish they had the width of the 12’s
