Great Grip!
The bottom of the shoe has great grip for hiking. I really appreciated the waterproof aspect of the shoe as well when I hiked in snow. The only downside side is the inner sole is extremely thin and uncomfortable. I bought inner soles to change out and the shoe worked great. But if you change the inner sole, make sure to size up a half size.
