Worn Shoe Sold As Brand New!

I usually purchase my shoes directly from Nike, but I've bought a few pairs from Dick's over the past couple of years. I got a pair last year that came with no box. Today, I got home and opened these shoes and right away, things weren't right. One of them was dented on the toe and the other one was dirty on the bottom. I'm guessing that this was a display item, but I'm not happy either way. I have unworn Nike shoes from almost 20 years ago still in boxes!
