Paradigm Is Back!

After running in the Torins and getting injured, like a fool I researched after. Knowing I need supporting shoes, I bought the Paradigm 5s and absolutely loved them. Once they wore out I bout the the 6s the foam was too soft and not supportive like the 5s. The 6s were also not responsive like the 5s. I took a gamble on the 7s because I heard they were firmer and they are way better than the 6s. People that started on the 6 probably won't like that, but people who started before the 6s and went to Paradigm for support will love them compared to the 6s.

Almost Perfect, Quality Issues

The zero drop, wide toe box, and solid cushioning sold me on this shoe. It's a great shoe, except the quality is poor. I developed a hole in the upper mesh near my toe after six months, although I only use the shoe for walking. It would be a perfect show aside from this defect.

Very Comfortable

Wear them casually, specifically when getting groceries, shopping, running errands etc. Very comfortable to wear all day and stand in.

Zero Drop+ Stability+ 30mm Ego Max Foam= Happy Back & Knees

Thank you, Altra for giving us the only zero-drop stability shoes with moderate/high cushion in the market. As someone who has had knee surgery and back issues, this shoe is a godsend. Super comfortable and stable. The arch support and the guidance rails are perfect. Please don't change this combination Altra or discontinue this line. My only request to Altra is to give us a trail version of this gem! Currently, none of the Altra trail shoes have an arch support and guidance system.

Will Buy Again!

Have 3 pairs. They are great. My knees and feet are feeling better wearing the Paradigm7.

Most Comfortable Shoes I Have Ever Owned

Finally a shoe that wont squish my toes and provide cushioning and support. Ive been looking for something like this for over a decade.

I Love The Fit, But Give The Wides The Black Option

I've only had them for 2 months, but I love the fit and feel for my wide, zero-arch feet. This could be a 5/5 rating, if not for the fact that the wides don't have a neutral color option, as usual for Altra. This bright blue color is particularly garish and almost put me off of buying them entirely. It severely limits where I can wear them. If the black option was available in wide, I'd have bought a second pair for work and general wear, in addition to my pair for exercise. Maybe even a third in case I can't find something that fits better than this in the future.

Didn't Last Long

This is my first pair of Altras and a hole developed above my big toe on my left shoe. Had the shoes less than 3 months. For such an expensive shoe I would have expected better wear. Altra would not warranty or replace shoe. I only walk and don't run.

Good. Light. Roomy In Toe Box.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First time trying Altras. Impressed so far. Run about 3-4 miles every morning, mostly on pavement.

I Don't Need My Orthotics With These Shoes!

This is the first pair of shoes (and the 6 before these) that I don't need my expensive orthotics. I need a Metpad to help a problem with the ball of my right foot. I can wear these all day with zero discomfort. When the 6's wear out I'll buy another 7, or maybe 8's when they come out.

Excellent Shoe!

The Paradigm 7 is very comfortable, roomy, cushiony and well built. I've mainly worn the Torin over the years but thought I'd try something different. My feet fell warmer in the Paradigm 7 than the Torin but overall I really like them. BTW: the blue color is a "really bright" blue.

Big Miss From The Paradigm 6

I've logged thousands of miles on Paradigms. These are a huge miss, especially since the 6's. I wore these on several training runs prior to a marathon and they felt like boards on the feet, a much different feel from other models. My knees hurt after each run, i figured it was just the break in period, which I've never really experienced on other Altra's. I wore these in a marathon and about half way in my feet were on fire... it felt like every time my foot struck the ground I was hitting a brick, very odd coming from such a historically good shoe. Whatever they did on the 7 was a big mistake. Wish I could get back to the comfort and feel of the Paradigm 6's. Sent these back.

Midfoot Is Way Too Narrow.

Paradigm 7s have way too narrow of a midfoot. Tried multiple pairs to make sure it wasn't a manufacturing issue. My wife had the same experience with women's. Would avoid.

Great Running Shoe

Great shoe with good cushioning and comfortable on long runs. I indicated that fit and width are true to size, but these fit about a half size larger than other running shoes. In normal shoes, I wear a 9.5 with standard width, but typically need a size 10 wide running shoe. These fit fine with a 9.5 regular width.

Highly Anticipated....but Was A Big Let Down

Had the shoes for over 3 months now. Too stiff and makes my running worse. Perfect for walking and everyday use though.
