I've been using the Altra Rivera 4 for about five months now, mainly for light activities like playing with the kids in the yard, running errands, and walking the dog for 0.5 to 1 mile in the mornings. While the comfort of these shoes is undeniably great, I've run into a few significant issues. The biggest problem is the back heel support, which has completely worn through already. For shoes that are relatively new and used for such low-impact activities, this level of wear and tear is unacceptable. Additionally, the toe area is starting to come undone, which is another durability concern. Moreover, the color is misleading. Despite being advertised as black, they are actually a noticeable grey, as other users have also pointed out. They're not close to the color shown in the images. Overall, while the comfort is good, the lack of durability and the color discrepancy are major letdowns for this price point.
