This is the easiest tent to put up, and one of the lightest ever! The poles, straps, guy loops, "everything" is "color-coded" so you can't goof it up! The tent can easily be piched in about 15 minutes on the first try, without racing! Thought I'd like more pockets, it does have pockets to help you stow things and a strap running along both sides to hand clothing that may need to dry or air out. The tent bag is awesome to keep it in, and strap on the bottom/back of your backpack! Everything is made with excellence, including the tent stakes! And by the way, all the straps, from the tent, to rainfly, etc. all are engineered to "fit" perfectly! I LOVE THIS TENT!!!
Bought this tent bout two weeks ago, second rain rained hard, drops of water came splashing through the rainfly onto the netting and through the netting onto me and my gear, soaking me and my gear until rain quit. I then put a tarp across the top of the rainfly to stop it raining through. That same hour I called for a replacement rainfly to be sent.

Great lightweight backpacking tent. I was able to take this on a multi day 10+ miler and didn't have any issue with the weight that it added to my pack. Like most tents, 3 person more than likely means 2 person. My buddy and I both have the Ampex lightweight sleeping pad (long/wide size) and we were able to fit just two of those pads in the tent and were still comfortable. I have yet to experience any crazy rain or anything in the tent, but with the rain cover on there seems to be a solid amount of coverage. My favorite part of the tent is the base of the tent seam is actually quite high up the tent, this is great for any water that may try to get it, youd literally have to have flooding happen before anything really comes through the tent.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As first time campers, when my partner and I first saw how compact and light the package was, we were skeptical of whether it would be large enough. However after setting it up - which was super easy - it was as roomy as you need it to be. The hardest part was putting it back into the bag as neatly as it came. However if you are impatient like my partner and prefer to just stuff it in, it still works, which is great! It is a three person tent, but is a tiny bit cramped imo, for two people however, it’s perfect with some spare space. As a two people tent I’d rate it 5. As a three person, only for size I’m rating it 4.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love that’s it’s only 5 pounds and easily stored! It comes with a footprint, stakes and rainfly! It has 4 vents which can be opened and closed. It’s great for backyard sleepovers with 3 small kids or 2 bigger kids!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is one of my favorites!! It is made very sturdy and easy to assemble! It’s quite roomy and it’s just perfect. I was so excited to receive this. I definitely recommend if you like to camp!! I received this product free from Influenster for my honest opinion

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We used this tent while camping with my husband, small child and I. We easily fit all three of us and our gear in the tent — but it would be a bit of a tight squeeze for three adults. The tent is fairly lightweight (although I wouldn’t consider it ultra lightweight) and I love that it easily split between my husband and I so we could share the load. Although it’s not ultralight it does have a bit more cold/rain protection built in which is perfect for my family. With a small child we need a bit more protection from the elements — perfect for families!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It’s easy to use, very spacious and comfortable, the bottom lining is great and a thick sturdy mat to add your sleeping bags on. The openness or the closeness is a great option. I’d say it’s a two person tent though not a three person. Two person because it leaves room for your belongings. It’s fall right now and it does keep the wings out indefinitely. Overall great tent.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve seen this brand before and I already know that it’s a great brand. Due to the weather here, I haven’t been able to put it up. The specs and measurements are spot on and the tent’s material seem really good and will hold up under extreme climate.

I’ve only set up the tent in the backyard a couple times. Camping trip is scheduled in a few weeks. I love the vestibules and the large pockets at the head. The bath tub floor is great how it come up a few inches to protect against splashing under the rainfly. I like the additional material just above the bath tub floor before the mesh. The overall construction looks great.

Highest quality tent that I've used. Some very nice touches that I've not seen in other higher end tents. Looking forward to using it again soon. Worked great on a two night camping event. Was rained on once and stayed dry.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This product cannot be more fitting for our family of campers and hikers. When I say this is lightweight I absolutely mean it. My 11 year old daughter can carry this with ease, which will make it perfect for summer camping trips. This product is an awesome design and perfect for any camper or hiker or even a hunter. Anyone looking for something simple and sleek.

I took this tent on a three-night backpacking trip to Colorado and I highly recommend it. My buddy and I were very tired after reaching our campsite and we were able to get the tent set up in under 10 minutes. The tent includes several unique features to make this process as quick as possible, including color-coded corners on the tent and footprint, a cool idea that I had never seen before. The tent also has a few other neat and useful features worth mentioning including two doors, large vestibules, and numerous interior organizational spaces and tools, such as pockets along the walls and a clever integration method that allows you to hang the removable top of an Ampex pack inside for easy access. Once we got it up, it performed very well. Our campsite had a significant amount of flies and wasps, but the tent’s fabric kept all the bugs out for our entire trip. It also rained one night and the rain fly kept us (as well as my boots and pack in the vestibule) entirely dry. Additionally, our campsite overlooked a valley and we experienced some wind gusts during the trip. The tent never felt unstable and handled the wind well. In fact, I carried the tent in and I was surprised by how strong the tent was when considering how light it weighed. Finally, the temperature of the tent stayed well moderated because the tent has several vents. I would guess the temperature got down to the 30s or 40s at night and I was never too cold or too warm. Overall, I highly recommend this tent. I’ve camped in numerous tents over the years and the Ampex 3-person is by far my favorite. I look forward to using it on my next trip.

Brought this tent on a 5 day trip and loved it! The set up was really easy and I love the ventilation spots! The coolest thing is the stakes bag that works as a lantern when you stick a smaller light in it. You can tell it was designed with care

I used this tent on a 4 night canoe trip in the Boundary Waters and had an amazing experience! It rained the first 2 days of the trip and this tent kept everything really dry while still being well ventilated. I loved that it came with a footprint that is super lightweight, this kept the bottom of the tent mud free in the rain and it cleaned up great when it was dry- I even used this footprint as a picnic blanket for lunch breaks between campsites which was an added bonus! 2 people in the 3P tent was ideal to have some extra room to move around, and I love that is has 2 doors with kick outs/vestibules on the rainfly to store items outside the tent while still being covered! My favorite bonus feature on the tent is the guyline bag that has a light diffuser for headlamps, so you pop your light into the bag and hang it on one of the many loops on the top of the tent for a perfect diffused light! The "stargazer" mode with the rainfly off was also amazing for stargazing without getting eaten alive by bugs! This is the best backing tent I have used (and a great price!) and I cant wait to take it with me on future trips!
