Rated 4 out of 5 by from Durable and well made. I was looking for a shorter, lighter rod to use while fishing from my kayak. This rod was perfect. It is light, yet durable and well-constructed. The fast taper produces a light, sensitive tip, yet it is quick to respond when setting the hook.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Average rod for price... Good action but the screw down for reel always loosen up.. almost lost reel in water...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very pleased I prefer cork over foam grips, and graphite over composite blanks, and this rod has them. I build custom rods as a hobby, and could not build this rod for this price, The reel seat and guides are decent quality, and the wraps are centered. I like it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product This was a gift for my boyfriend. He already had 2 of the same rod so I am guessing it is a winner!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Outstanding value Recently purchased the 7'6" MH spin rod. The blank is graphite composite which makes it slightly heavier than 100% graphite, however, should also be a bit stronger than all graphite. I paired it with a Lew's carbon Gold 4000 spin reel and am very impressed with the feel and action of this combo. Caught a few small striped bass so far. I believe this rod has a fast taper, as there is no mention of this on the product. I own many other inshore spin rods. This Ande rod, at $49., in my opinion, is an outstanding value.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Very disappointed. Although these rods look great and have a nice feel to them, they have horrible quality eyes on them. I purchased two of these rods, one in medium action and one in medium heavy action. Each rod had lost a ceramic insert in less than 6 months. One rod has lost two inserts with a year. Just gluing the ceramic insert back in place would not be a big deal at all, but the problem is the outer metal ring that holds the ceramic insert actually breaks open. I could just take the rod to get the eyes repaired, but it would probably need all of them done to avoid future issues. Not worth it for a $50 rod. All of my gear is garage-kept and well maintained.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Can't Go Wrong I've punished this "low end" rod and it's worked just as well along side of my $300 customs. Upon close examination next to my Star spinner, the blank, guides and reel seat are identical - the wraps even look like they were done side by side. Hmmmm....From now on, the wise choice IMO would to be to kick the extra hundred or two into the reel.
