Rated 5 out of 5 by from I can target fish much better with this! I’m a far cry from being ready for the pro tour, but I caught a lot more fish this season! I bought my Angler tracker a few months ago from Dick’. Like many who are suspicious of anything marketed as too good to be true, it took me a long time to decide to spend the money for the tracker. Thankfully, it was the correct decision because I love the way the tracker, the app, and the dashboard subscription work together to improve my effectiveness. The tracker allows for the rapid marking of the structure as well as the automatic recording of the fish catch. Knowing the exact time and location of the catch is something I might miss if I had to do everything manually. I did not really appreciate how valuable know the detail was until I began to use the dashboard that consolidates the results across all trips as well as allows drill down into a specific trip. Clicking on a trip brings up a screen showing the exact time of the fish catch against critical weather parameters. As you can see in the first picture, I discovered I caught most of my fish on this day when the wind speed and direction changed along with a more rapid drop in the barometric pressure. By clicking through some of the other trips to the same location, I could see a trend that was further documented in the summary screen on the dashboard (picture 2). The dashboard environment tab confirmed the actual wind direction, wind speed, moon and barometer performance I should look for. Now, when I’m on the water, I can click on to the conditions window in the app (picture 3) and see those same parameters and understand when I need to be at different places to catch fish. If I lose track of where those catches occurred or where I had seen the structure and marked it, I could also click on the option to show the places I marked (picture 4). I can’t imagine trying to enter all of these locations manually into an old-style fishing log. Yes, I could mark all this on my fishfinder, but I must remember to do it. And, even then, I would not have the critical environmental information for further analysis. I am convinced using all three of these tools has made me a better fisherman.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Fishing Tool On & Off the Water I purchased an Anglr Tracker after seeing one on a friend's fishing rod. The app does a great job tracking all of your trips & catches along with the exact time, weather & water conditions. The Tracker extends this by attaching to your rod & counting your casts. You also get access to the LogBook website which is an analytics dashboard for your fishing data. If you fish as much as I do (every chance I get), then you know that having this information allows you to better decide where and when to fish. The Tracker accurately counts all of my casts and works fine on my baitcaster, spinning & fly rods. It has a button on it to log catches so you don't have to dig out your phone on the water. The app also pulls water temp from local gauges which is great as I primarily fish from a kayak and don't have any electronics other than my phone with me. I did have an issue with some of my trips showing the wrong type (ice fishing instead of trolling) and the trip times were off. I contacted Anglr support and was told they were pushing an update to fix these items. Later that week, everything was corrected. While these were minor annoyances, getting a quick response from support was reassuring. As for improvements, it's occasionally difficult to tell if the Tracker button press registered with my phone. Also it'd be great if the software would allow me to share my trips and/or photos taken with the app to Facebook. These minor issues aside, the Tracker is a great tool for anyone who's serious about fishing and wants to improve their game.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best App I've Found I've tried every fishing app out there. They all take you away from actually fishing. Finally somebody automates the entire process. Easy to use and extraordinary trip details. Some bugs, but expected with tech being an engineer myself and it seems this is only the first release from this company. Overall great purchase.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Too Many Bugs -- No editing feature I bought a subscription to the online program and used the App to capture information on the water during three fishing trips. However, the App does not bring in my rod setups into the catch information and says I need to add rods, yet my rods shop up as saved everywhere else. The worst part is there is no edit feature. If you save the wrong information when you make a catch (which is easy to do in the full sun while on the water) you cannot correct it later so that you have correct data. I mean, the whole purpose of this system is to gather correct data to help you in the future. Also, I sent three requests for information through their support email address and received no response to any of the three. If they ever make this thing work, it would be the best fishing App I have tried (I have used three others), but it just does not work as advertised.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Addition to My Tackle Box I have owned my tracker for 3 months now and don't know how I ever did without it. Automatically keeping track of the weather has really helped me figure out best time to catch more fish. It took some getting use to but I'm learning how to unleash the power in this great tool.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome Fishing Trip Logger Complete replacement for my logbook. The automated weather data and ability to add data through USGS is incredible. It is so cool to have casts and catches logged with each of my fishing trips; accuracy is also high. The application is also user friendly and intuitive.
