Works Well, On The Quieter Side

I bought it in an emergency situation, it served us well for our tournaments. However, many people said that it was on the quiet side if not blown very hard into. (Other people prefer the electronic whistles that you press a button). I like this whistle and will continue to use it because I like it and the sound.

Good For Modest Use, Otherwise Get A Fox 40

Bought this for my son to start referring basketball games ... after about the first half it started to sound like an extremely hurt canary ... made the other referees laugh which is when he found out the Fox 40 is the way to go. The pea gets wet when used a lot resulting in poor sound. The Fox 40 is a pea-less whistles used by most referees which does not suffer form this issue.
