Rated 5 out of 5 by from LOVE IT!! To those who are losing lures, you MUST use a polymer knot!! It even directs you as such in the packaging. I love this line. I really can't say that enough. It's is 1/3 (or less) of the normal diameter of of 12lb line. A heck of a lot smoother and sensitive! USE IT and TIE it right!!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Doesn't hold a knot This line is super slick and casts a mile, sometimes your lure will go a little further than the line. After losing 4 voodu shrimp, several jigheads, and yo-zuri suspending bait I stopped giving this line a try. If one decides to use this I recommend retying every 5 casts or using a dab of super glue. Good luck!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from terrible I saw this and decided to give it a try. It casts smoothly, this is true, but it has the strength of tissue paper. The line would break every other cast, and I got the 18# line. It would break on the cast, on grass and it even just broke will the hook was on the hook keeper when a breeze blew as I idled in my boat. Terrible line, waste of time and money. I have burned through half a dozen hooks, weights and baits. Pass on this!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Really like it, except for............... We've been using 8 lb Gliss almost a year now for ultralight trout fishing. It replaced 6 lb Nanofil as our standard line for jig fishing using a swivel and a 4 lb fluoro leader. We've found Gliss to be strong and smooth casting, and a tad less susceptible to wind than the Nanofil. Any of the superlines I've used tend to fray near the terminus of the line. No big deal, you just cut a few feet off occasionally. I recently bought several spools of Gliss that seem to have more fraying problems. It's like the coating that binds the individual fibers together is bad. One spool in particular was really bad. After just a few hours fishing my wife was complaining that her rig wasn't casting as far as usual. I looked at it and saw the line was badly frayed. I cut off a few feet and started to retie the swivel. Line came apart as I handled it. Peeled off several yards and the line looked OK. I rolled the line between pinched thumb and forefinger and it came apart. Told her to get a backup rod and I started to clean up the line from the carpeted floor of the boat. The fibers stuck to the carpet and it ended up looking like a big wad of cotton candy. A couple of days later I stripped off the old line and found the entire line would come apart easily, even the part deep on the spool that had never seen the light of day. I sure hope this spool of Gliss was just a fluke. Other than that Gliss has been 5 star for us.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Use it right, or waste your money Ive been running 24 lb gliss for finesse fishing and 40lb for jigs, some cranks, and topwater and couldnt be happier with it. It casts a mile and I rarely have a backlash with it. I see some people saying it breaks easily, but they probably arent paying attention to the warnings on the carton. This isnt mono or fleuro, its not made to work with certain knots. You have to use a palomar knot on the lure and a double uni to tie to mono(which I would recommend for backing). Gliss will fray if your throw it against rocks or trees, so just dont do that. Weeds, grass, open water, all great places for gliss. Overall this line is a great tool to use in the right situation. Just use it the way its meant to be used and youll love it as much as I do.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from a great addition to my fishing I have been using Gliss for some time now. I use 40# test for swimbaits, frogs and buzzbaits. It cast better and further than braid ever did. I have not gone away from braid, Gliss is a better addition than braid for most applications. I treat Gliss like all my lines, check it often, retie when needed, and like with braid, I recolor with a marker when it fades. I have yet to lose a fish or break off a lure that was related to the line. Gliss has performed flawlessly. I only use Gliss on my baitcaster. Smooth, tough and reliable.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Favorite new line I have Green Gliss 40lb test on my baitcasters for flipping open and heavy cover and I use it for fishing in depths of 1foot down to 20feet, this Gliss line has extreme sensitivity and strength and increases my casting distance. When I'm using this line for flipping I always use a double palomar knot with a vmc heavy duty hook and I'm yet to loose a fish from my line breaking, however this line does tend to fray especially in heavy cover, but I have still not broke a fish off because of it. When the line frays it's typically close to the hook so I will just cut a foot or so off the end and retie, I usually retie often anyways especially in heavy cover.. I would definitely recommend this line!!
