Excellent Shoe For Ankle Pain And Pronation

These have a great heel to toe drop reducing strain on the Achilles tendon. Our teen was doing some long distance running and complained about Achilles pain. After switching to these shoes the Achilles pain is gone. Word of caution: it’s important to still strengthen your Achilles by wearing more flat shoes at other times, but these are excellent while healing.

Evolution Of A Great Shoe!

I have worn Kayanos for many years. I have experimented with other brands and models and always come back to these. They are a stability shoe for neutral to slight pronation. As a result, these are not light racing shoes. They are durable and an average sized runner should expect 200-300 miles in them.. The current iteration is a thick foam sole similar to Hokas. Give them a try before you buy…

Updated Comfort

As usual, Asics has made small but nice updates to their GEL-Kayano running shoe. Still my go-to and still need to go 1/2 size up from most other brands since they run small.

Poor Design

I bought the shoe in October from Dick’s Sporting Goods yesterday the bottom the top of the shoe gave away and my toe is sticking out poor Design 😳 now I have to go buy another shoe and not this shoe hasn’t even been worn a year. And all I do is walk in the shoe. I’m not running anymore.
