Still Good But Trending In Some Wrong Directions
They still fit well and are comfy to run in and they work well for overpronation, which is the most important thing. But the new tongue design is a total misfire. I can see what they were going for with the pull loops on both the tongue and heel, making it easier to pull the shoe on with a finger from each hand in each loop, but the tongue itself has been flattened out way too much so it's in danger of folding back under itself at the edges when you put your foot in, and the tongue loop isn't helpful enough to make up for that (nor was it ever hard enough to get the shoes on to make the tongue loop necessary). In my opinion the design should be rolled back to something more like the 30 or 31. The 31s were also a lot more squeak-prone on laminate floors than the 30s, not sure if that's due to a different material on the surface of the sole or something. I don't think the 32s are any better in that regard, although I'm not sure yet. I do like the pull loop on the heel — those were a nice addition on the 31s and I'm glad they're sticking around. Basically, the perfect Kayano shoe would be the 30 but with the heel loop from the 31/32s.

If It's Not Broke Don't Fix It Asics
I've been wearing this shoe for over 20 years and this is the worst iteration to date. For some reason they thought it would be beneficial to replace the tongue with a thin piece of fabric instead of cushion. Resulting comfort is horrible. The toe box is dimensionally smaller than my previous Kayano 30. I'll be returning the 2 pairs and looking at a different manufacturer, even though I have exclusively worn Kayano gel shoes for more than 20 years!! Whoever made the design changes should be flogged.

Still Love Them After All These Years
I’ve been running in Kayanos for years. They’re always my go to shoe. They help me to stay injury free and I feel great running in them.

Asics Needs To Rethink The Cut Of The Shoe.
All new Asics have narrow toe boxes. I have worn them for the past 20 years without a problem. The past 4 pairs have been getting narrower and narrower in the toe box. It is terrible.
