Multiple Issues.
I've ran in 11 pairs of Asics over the past 11 years and these are by far the worst running shoes that I've ever had. My previous runners were Nimbus 24's which were great. The Nimbus 27's lead to Blisters, black toenails, rubbing on the outer heel, a cyst on the top of my foot under the tongue and laces. The lacing system is critically flawed. I can't recommend buying the Gel Nimbus 27's to anyone.

Best Cushioning With Stability
The cushioning is excellent. Of all the running shoes I've tried (Asics and others), the cushioning on the Nimbus is the best I've tried, and without giving up any stability. Running feels really good without the feeling of running on pillows.
