Very dissapointed in the Gel Resolution X shoe. I have been a long time user of Solution Speed FF2 which unfortunately Asics discontinued. Reviews of FF3 were not great, so I decided to try the Gel Resolution X,. Immediately, the fit is more boxy and heavy than FF2 but I decided to break it in and see if i would like it better over a few weeks. While the cushioning is great (same as FF2 in my opinion) the boxy fit means more movement occurs with your feet in the shoe. If you run hard and plant your feet, this movement can be dangerous - I ended up spraining my ankle (minor) for the first time in 40 years in tennis because of just that movement. The FF2 is more of a glove fit and there is little to no give with your feet within the shoe. Anyway, will have to try the FF3 since I am pretty loyal to Asics, but if that does not work, will have to go to another brand.
