But The Tongue...
I moved up to a GT2000 after years in the GT1000. The step up improved the ventilation considerably, but the tongue on this version of the GT2000 is terrible -- there is zero padding so the laces continuously cut into the top of your foot. I shouldn't have be looking for an add on pad for a supposedly higher end shoe

Excellent Shoe
After having trouble finding a shoe that didn’t cram my forefoot I was immediately pleased with the v13 the moment I put it on. Comfortable, stable, not too soft nor too firm, and very stable. I do wish the tongue was thicker, it’s too thin, almost paper thin. Gotta keep the laces looser.

Great Xc Shoe, Could Be More Trail Stable.
Great overall cross-country shoes. I like the rubber outsole, and the comfortability on longer runs. One thing I wish it was better at was handling loose terrain like mulch or gravel. I find on hard turns or fast running in loose terrain the shoes likes to topple more than the Gel-Cumulus 26's did. Great for distance training very comfortable great for road, just lacks a little bit of trail stabllity.

Great Having A Fresh Pair
This is fifth or sixth pair of this model I have used so I knew they would fit and be good for running. I still had a few more weeks in my previous pair so these sat in the box for a while. They are out now and it’s so nice to be running in a new pair. My old ones get demoted to walking shoes until the soles wear thin.
