Perfect Shoe For Flat Feet 99 Out A 100.

In a world of brands chasing to be like the next HOKA or medial posting is a dirty word, the GT 4000 stands a defiant example of classic support for my flat feet and the cushion is great for my plantar Fasciitis. I also appreciate that the shoe has a higher more old school heel drop for my Achilles tendinitis. Most shoes these days by other brands are having the posting removed or the heel drop lowered and those tend to hurt my arches, heels, knees and shins where the GT 4000 does not and it offers me relief. It fits well enough to accommodate my inserts as well. My only wish is that they make the toe box just a “hint” wider. Other than that this is the perfect shoe for me….leave it alone and do not update it. Just keep coming out with new colors in wide please! Would love a GREY midsole option in wide.

Poor Forefoot Cushioning

I bought this model instead of my normal Kayano purchase to save $20. I found my pair to have poor forefoot cushioning. I'm in my 50th year of running, so my stride is short and the daily run is LSD pace. I'm ready to quit at the end of an hour due to the beating my feet are taking with the GTs. Due to past plantar fasciitis, I have to use Dr. Scholl's inserts, which are MUCH better than the ASICS stock inserts.
