As expected/hoped for. A quality shoe for a new wrestler. Seems to be well made and fit a little narrow, but stretches out with use.

My son liked this shoe last year, so we bought the same one for wrestling this year, just a different color and size. These particular pair needed some breaking in, so after a few blisters they are fine.

We have had all brands of wrestling shoes, always come back to asics. They work and last mostly through the season!

Good shoe for the price. Nice and flexible with good grip. The ankle portion of the shoe was tight at first but stretched out nicely as I wore them.

My child loves this wrestling shoe. Comfortable and perfect for a match or practice. Doesn’t hurt that they look great and he loves the colors too

My daughter hasn’t complained about these since getting them. They seem to be a good wrestling shoe.

Ended up getting 1&1/2 size up in wide. Those that said too tight, need to look at Asics website sizing chart in cm or inches and the single digit size number conversion is in UK size which runs smaller than US Nike or similar. Fits more like sock vs the Matflex boot fit. Durability maybe lacking as the shoe is mostly mesh, but has padding in front toe for wear pressure points, but don't see this lasting more than one season. Not for outdoor use, feels like a minimalist running shoe as the sole does not have much foam or cushion, Turning and twisting on ball of foot is quick as the circle pads allow for traction when you need to push forward and foot pivot quickness also. Ankle support is not as good as the Matflex, but better for sweaty feet and long training sessions on the mat/indoor. If you run outside with these, the bottoms will wear quickly. If you do not get a good fit and purchase too large, the big toe can poke through the mesh and cause premature wear. Overall would recommend at the sale price of $55-65, but go by the cm and inch measurement then Asics conversion chart will ensure proper fit, do not go by the standard shoe size number.

I bought these for wrestling. These were my kids'.first choice and he says they're comfortable. It's his first season so nothing to compare to.
