They have a stiffer pad which helps with some discomfort I was having. For some reason the right shoe eats my sock. cant figure that out. Overall, very satisfied

27s Suck! Don’t Buy!
I purchased the Gel nimbus 26 about 1.5 years ago and loved them (in retrospect I did experience many of the poor quality issues people experience such as holes in the toe and completely worn heel which I have never had in other running shoes, but assumed might be normal wear and tear as I was running more frequently in these shoes - now I see it’s just poor quality). Since I liked the 26s but they were falling apart, I decided to purchase the 27s. I tried on the 27s right away when they were coming delivered but didn’t immediately start wearing them for my runs. Once I did, I realized I HATED them. Despite the extremely wide toe box, the ball of my big toe hangs over the sole and is not supported well. My heel is also not fully supported by the sole (which is especially weird because my fleet feet scan noted I have narrow heels). Both of these problems cause my feet to roll inward causing foot and knee pain. At first, I thought I was just being picky since I loved the 26s, but when I compare them they fit completely different. I reached out about returning and being refunded despite being past the 90 days because they have only been worn about 5 times, but I was told “the system won’t allow them to create a shipping label” and given size recommendations. The size recommendations were rich because I was fitted for the 26s at a fleet feet and didn’t expect such drastic change in fit in the 27s. I used to recommend ASICS all the time, but I will not be purchasing any more ASICS or recommending them to people.
