Review of ASICS Women's Lyte Classic Shoes. I got the color Vanilla, which is just a gorgeous, neutral, but not boring color scheme. The brown bottoms are very trendy right now, if one cares about that. (Spring 2025) Size 7.5. My foot is a size 7 regular in all shoes. Sometimes a brand has me in a 1/2 size up or down from a 7, and that's the case with Asics. I have a pair of Asics running shoes that I'm also 7.5 in. So my assessment is Asics runs 1/2 size small. Support is not good. I believe I have an average arch and overall pretty average feet. No special issues when looking for shoes. However, this shoe is very flat inside. I even ran my hands along the insole and there is no arch support. Almost feels like I have space between my arch and the insole. It's also not cushiony inside. It's not hard either. It's just not one of those shoes that you feel like you're walking on clouds. You don't feel much give when you step. I love the look of this shoe so much that I may actually go buy nice inserts. I love that Asics has the double lace holes for the very top lace holes. When you learn how to utilize those holes, then the laces actually tighten the heal to give you a more snug heal fit with NO slippage of the heal. I learned this from a YouTube video and now only look for sneakers with this double top hole. These are NOT running shoes, so don't buy them for that. The sole is stiff and not flexible at all. They are more of a fashion sneaker. More for walking, shopping, going about your daily activities. Not the gym. Overall I like these. 4 stars instead of 5 due to the insoles not having arch support or much cushion.
