Best Neutral Everyday Shoes
Novablasts continue the offer the best experience with bounce, energy return, and longevity. The 5’s are an improvement from the 4’s, which felt too firm, and on par with the 3’s feel and response. Sole can be slick. Needs better colorways.

I’m really impressed by how soft and bouncy the foam in these shoes are. I really enjoyed the Novablast 3s, but not so much the Novablast 4s. The Novablast 5s are a great daily trainer for easy miles and recovery runs. I really love the colors too. I got “oatmeal.”

Falls Apart After A Few Uses
Bought these based on reviews citing duration and comfort. The shoes are definitely comfortable and give a ton of support during the run, but they appear to be poorly made. After only 7 uses (21 miles ran), one of my shoes has a quarter-sized tear in the outer fabric that looks like it will expand over time, giving me serious questions about the durability of the rest of the shoe. Support also dismissed my case as normal wear & tear, so don’t think you’ll have recourse if yours start falling apart shortly after using them.

Ideal Amount Of Cushion And Bounce But Too Loud!!
I've been away from Asics running shoes for about 5 years so decided to try out the Novablast out of curiosity. For me, its a great shoe. I use it for all my runs (long, easy, fast, etc). The amount of cushion and bounce is ideal for me. Also, I have to rate this shoe a 4.9 because of how loud it is. :) This morning I got yelled at by a lady who was pushing her asleep baby in a stroller. I guess the sound of me running past here woke the baby up. I could hear the baby crying for at least another 200m as I continued on my run!
