Best Novablast Since Version 2
I have run in all versions of novablast to date, and v5 are probably the best since v2. Not as fun and snappy as v1-2, but better than v3-4 thanks to the softer, bouncier FF Blast Max. The upper is comfortable and accommodating. The outsole grip has improved, but it’s still not great.

I read that the Novablast has elite cushioning and good for runners who suffer from shin splints. I agree.

Second Pair Of This Style!
Superb shoes. I walk 6-7 miles a day and this model & brand wins over every other brand. Toe box especially comfortable. No blisters or hot spots. Highly recommended

Disappointed—again
I really wanted to love these ASICS, but after just four months of moderate wear, there's a hole forming in the toebox again. I have owned multiple of ASICS over the years. Last 4 pair I've owned ( GEL - NIBUS 21, 23, 25 and now Novablas 5) produced the exact same issue. It seems like every new pair I get, lasts less and less. It went from over a year, to 6 months with these last pair lasting 4 months. For a brand that markets durability and performance, it's incredibly frustrating to see such a consistent flaw. I’ve worn ASICS for years, but the quality has clearly declined. At this point, I’m done giving them the benefit of the doubt. If you’re looking for shoes that last, look elsewhere.
