The thread is very easy to use, as you simply wrap the bait then a few wraps around the hook and pop it off the spool. I use it to keep chicken liver on the hook while fishing for catfish and it certainly works. I can cast as I would with other baits and the liver stays on the hook. I've also used the thread when jugging and on my trot lines. Be careful not to wrap a bait like chicken liver too tight because you'll end up shredding it only for it to literally dissolve in the water. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because there are elastic threads available that are not marketed for fishing that may work just as well, but at a lower price. Note - I've not tried those so I really have no idea if those other threads will work, but I can tell you Miracle Thread does the job. I'm happy with it and will buy more spools when I need them.
