Decent, But A Step Backward From The Original

I’ve used Away bags in the past, but the current version of the Carry-On feels like a bit of a "downgrade" disguised as a refresh. While it still looks sleek and rolls beautifully, I’m struggling to find the value that used to make these bags a must-buy. The Good: The Wheels: Still the best in the game. It glides across the airport floor effortlessly. Durability: The hard shell is sturdy and handles overhead bins without much scuffing. The Not-So-Good: Missing Features: I really miss the built-in phone charger battery. Not having that integrated power source makes it feel like any other standard hardshell suitcase. No Outer Pocket: Losing the exterior pocket is a huge blow for accessibility. Having to unzip the entire clamshell just to grab a tablet or a boarding pass is a hassle in a crowded terminal. The Zipper Struggle: For a bag at this price point, the zipper shouldn't feel like it's under life-or-death pressure. If you pack this bag even moderately full, getting the zippers to meet and close is a workout. There’s very little "give" in the fabric lining. Bottom Line: It’s a functional piece of luggage, but it feels like Away stripped away the very features that made them unique. It’s "mediocre" because you’re paying a premium price for a basic experience.

Great Bag

Great bag. I am struggling with the zipper latches because I have not set the lock up. I really like the compression inside cover, the depth of the Bag and the color. And it was on sale and the price was right for what I wanted for a suitcase.
