Fragile Mallets

I bought this set for a family picnic and one of the mallets chipped after one whack to pound in the goal stake. Why the manufacturer wouldn't make the mallets out of hard wood seems inexcusable. I would have used a rubber mallet for the job had I known how fragile the mallets are. The carrying case is very convenient for taking the set to parks etc. and has plenty of room to carry everything plus a rubber mallet. The balls are not made of wood, so they may have a limited life but should be ok with occasional use.

Disappointed

Bought this set for my grandkids 8 & 10 on Sat. We set up & played a few games. The mallet split where the screw went in to the handle. I hope I can get a full refund, I thought this set would be worth the money, very disappointed .

Broke First Time Out

After less than 10 hits, a big chunk of the mallet flew off. It had a big crack in the wood to begin with. One of the stick handles has a big crack in it where the metal end attaches. One of the brass metal ends from the handle stuck inside the mallet head and one of the brass metal inserts pulled out and stuck to the handle. It was delivered as if I picked it up off the shelf. No box or packaging, just the nylon bag with a shipping label stuck on it. It was also left at the bottom of our three steps off the porch in the rain. I will attempt to return and no need to replace with the same poorly made equipment. I thought the set that was twice the price would have been made to last but it didn’t even go one round.

Poor Quality

For the money this set is horrible. My kids have played only a few rounds and the mallets started breaking. The balls are dented too. They have not been abusing them just playing the game.
