Wanted To Love It…but Very Poor Experience

I really wanted to love this product but unfortunately I have to give it a 1-star rating. Since I bought it 18 months ago; I have to return it twice to get a replacement. Connection failures on inserting a fully charged battery meant it wouldn’t power on. I received the latest model in December and a fully charged battery lasts about 3.5 hours. I don’t use the remote anymore as frankly I don’t trust the cart not to tip over going up hills. It doesn’t handle hills well both from a steadiness perspective but also struggles up hills without manual guidance (and pushing) I don’t usually write reviews but this is not a cheap investment and I need Bag Boy to do better with this product. Other reviews have mentioned lack of practical design like phone and score card holders. I agree with sentiment but I could have overlooked that if the product did the basics well.

Tradeoffs

I now have 255 miles or about 50 rounds on my Volt. I am still getting two rounds per charge. The same thing that is a plus for this cart, (weight, storage, compaction, battery life, manual maneuverability) is its downfall. It tips over way too easily when it encounters any side or abrupt upslope and downslopes. It won’t hold a straight tracking line with the front wheel in swivel mode. It bounces all over the place requiring constant course correction. The “console” is useless for anything other than small items. It certainly won’t hold a scorecard conveniently or at all. Because the cart is continually requiring course correction which puts friction on the tires, they are wearing out rapidly.

Great Hybred

I've been using this since April and overall it's a good cart, that being said the anti-tip wheel while just brushing grass is the loudest thing ever. It only makes this awful noise when the anti-tipping wheel is brushing grass, not when it's not or the wheel is engaged. And yes it is adjustable, but if you set it too high so the heel doesn't brush rough length grass it tip over super easy on anything other than perfectly flat ground. It needs to be re-done with a better fitting sprocket. It also lacks good traction so it can be difficult to steer going down hills, like really difficult. However the ease of switching it to manual makes this a solvable issue. One other tweak could be making it less reactive, at speed it turns way too quickly. Overall it's great though and if that anti-tip wheel gets quieted down I'd add another star.

My Third Year With This Product

My third year with the cart - three wheels not suited for hills - If i had to do over I would not purchase this item It has tipped very several times

Volt Is Worth The Investment.

I needed a push cart to help with walking more than 9 holes and take the pressure off my back. The Volt is a really nice addition. Controls nicely and easy to maintain. Has all the features you need and plenty of storage. Def check it out.
