Rated 4 out of 5 by from Did its job So I was a beginner, as was my wife. All we wanted was a little stress reliever bow for the back yard, which wasn't much anyways. It shot just fine and helped my wife with her injured back to gain some more muscle. Was great for kids to shoot as they visited. Moving up to another wooden recurve bow. Backyard shooting in the suburbs doesn't necessitate compound bows. A good intro for our family as we are now interested in hunting. I'm a master qualified LEO, beginner archer, intermediate rifleman.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Smooth draw, nice weight We bought two of these one for our teenage daughter and one for our tween granddaughter. They both are learning, sized well for their frame. Very smooth draw, nice weight.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best little re-curve I've ever seen for the price. It works well; accurate. Though the arrows are awful. With good arrows, you can't miss with the thing. Sturdy.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Awesome Bow! I'm an adult who received this as a Christmas present and it has been lots of fun. I can shoot it in the backyard without fear of taking out the neighbors. No I can't hunt with it and yes I've upgraded to carbon fiber arrows but my 8 yr old and myself love shooting it. Planning on giving him his own for birthday in a few weeks.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great for youth! Barnnet quality is apparent in this little bow. A great way to get your kids interested.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Just a toy I get that this is a "youth bow," but this thing is pretty much just a toy. There's no nocking point, so the arrow slides every which way up and down the string, and the string is so loose you can just pull it off the end. The arrow rest wore out in an afternoon, and the dumb thing doesn't appear to be replacable. It is not accurate, at all; half the arrows fell short of a 15-foot target.A young person can absolutely handle a "real" bow with an appropriate draw weight. This is not a real bow. This is an impulse-purchased toy. If your kid expresses interest in archery, do her a favor and invest in a decent starter bow. They're honestly not that much more expensive than this plastic thing.
