Rated 5 out of 5 by from Dont let the other reviews sway you' Go on youtube and look up how to use a reflector telescope. To use, point to the sky, focus, and look. Newtonian Telescopes have been the same since 1672. Point the 'scope at the north star, then adjust the spotting scope to see the same star. Thats it. just like boresighting a rifle. It's not going to magically work for you because its expensive. Actually, its not expensive, and it IS a beginner 'scope. Expensive is $6,500.00, not $179.99Its not the manufacturers job to teach you astronomy, they provide the tool, its up to YOU to learn how to use it.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not for the beginner. This telescope is not for a beginner. It does not have clear instructions on several points of assembly. It is difficult to use. If you are a new stargazer or just looking to the stars for fun....don't get his telescope. Get a telescope that is much less complicated.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from The product information on how to put together was wrong I would not recommend to any one. There was no information on how to use or sight the scope. No information I how sight in the moon and stars. We wasted 175.00 dollars and cannot get it back from manufacturers
