Good Quality Protection

We bought these battle pads for my son and they are good quality, fit the body well, and light weight. Like the description says, we sized down for a more fitted setup. Only thing I'd mention is the side belt straps are made well to last but could be made more comfortable. A side padded under shirt will help

Runs Small

Great pads! My son loves them but it is smaller than your regular size YL pads. Get a size up from what your child normally wears. Great pads tho! Probably good for a season before my son outgrows them.

Children Loved These

My son was in line to play QB and these seemed to have maximum arm range of motion. Used the entire season and worked great, no complaints from boys and the one in line to play QB never once felt hindered or complained about it. Will buy again as they grow (bought size small, youngest is aged 7 and 65 lbs) if that helps
