CHOOSING THE RIGHT GRINDING WHEELS:

• There are two types of wheels you will use when sharpening your skates: Hollow GrindingWheels and FLAT Grinding Wheels
• Hollow Grinding Wheels are used to sharpen your steel to your favorite radius of hollow. Ifyou’re unsure which hollow to start with, we recommend using a ¾” wheel as a baseline. Fromthere, you can trial different wheels to find which hollow suits your style of play best.
• FLAT Grinding Wheels are designed to “reset” your blade. This process is important whenprepping new steel or refreshing your blade if you damage your edges.On average, a grinding wheel will sharpen about 75 pairs of skates. Your PROSHARP BAUERADVANTEDGE Skate Sharpener will notify you when it’s time to replace your grinding wheel.
