Rated 5 out of 5 by from First impressions .22 cal 75 +/- stoeger 14.3 grain far. Sighting in was easy - started at 10 yards and walked back to my preferred range of 35 yards (until I move my fence another 10 yds). Shooting from sitting position, without any aids hitting a 2" gong consistent half the time. Not bad during break in and no resting aids. Working on fine tuning trigger adjustment. Not as bad as some reviewers state - I guess they want a silk purse for a sow's ear price. Scope does not adjust for magnification as advertised on box. No biggy but going to contact crossman to discuss. Ratings are based on the cost. If this was a $600 Diana, I'd be more particular.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not great, but far from horrible I bought the.177 from Dicks sporting goods. The gun itself is ok. It's just heavy enough for stability and comfortable to hold. It doesn't feel cheap. I think the np2 is too powerful for the lighter .177 pellets. There is a destabilizing factor causing tumble and accuracy loss. I found heavy jsb or 15g h&n worked best. Or get .22 to begin with. With an UPGRADED scope you can expect 1-2" groups @ 15 yards. Mine came with a CP 3-9x32. It fell apart before the first tin was empty and customer service had no interest in replacing it. I hear their giving 3-9x40 with them now. Must be nice cause the rest of us are SOL. Overall gun is good, but will destroy optics.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Took Down a rabbit day 1, .......BUT Ok so Im confused I have the same part number shown above, but my box says silver instead of gold, and states Nitro piston elite , but your pic says Nitro piston elite but specs state Nitro piston 2....... which is it...? Shooting down at 10 degrees 30 yards took down an adult rabbit. I do feel bad but the darn thing wont stop eating the new landscaping my wife and i spent time and money on to make our home look and feel better. I only eye balled it for installing the scope no lapping the rings, no level kit, or dialing it in at all just tightened it down and fired a few shoots and boom 1 rabbit down. I will say though I do have exp on the sniper field.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Rifle (up-date) Bought the Steel Eagle .22 8/15/17 I have 160 pellets through it and first off all it is quite!!! Measured the dB inside and averaged 70dB absolutely the best!!! And it is already very, very accurate, picture shows a 10 pellet group at 20 yards from a kneeling position. Still using the factory scope and it functions well. However I feel the Big reason for this good shooting is the great ergonomics. The trigger could be a little lighter, even after adjusting it is still a bit heavy. Only disappointment is the finishing of the breach on the shroud (see picture). As you can see it has not effected the rifle's accuracy as of yet, but it is not worthy of such a good product.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Decent Riffle The stock has a good feel. This riffle is hold sensitive and be prepared to try a lot of pellets but once the right pellet is found is pretty accurate. Cocking effort is easy. Love the picatinny rail. A better scope is needed for tighter groups. The recoil is kinda hard and noise level is also up there. Overall is a good riffle for a beginner.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fun to Shoot I'm not a hunter. I shoot targets in the back yard. I have shot over 1,000 round thought it in the past year and keeps a good group at 30 yards. I made a target out of an old fire extinguisher and at 30 yards this gun will put a good dent in it. It's not too loud. My neighbors don't complain. This gun has enough power to take out the pest around your property.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Np2 Bought yesterday put 250 pellets through it. Had scope from np trail all weather and used bore sight to zero in scope. Trigger compared to first version of rifle is too hard and unpredictable making good grouping of shots impossible. Sound wise np2 vs np1 no comparison np2 can be heard vs almost silent with first np. Np1 cooking was smoother with no real recoil. Np2 version has recoil. So I will be returning new rifle due to fact this is definitely not an upgrade from the original, even looks cheaper than original. Both rifles are canadian specs 495 fps.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazed Great Shooter Very powerful, had the rifle for 2 years and still going strong. Best ammunition has been the domed pellet by Benjamin. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
