Rated 5 out of 5 by from Happy Camper I purchased this 3 days ago. I was able to zero it in with 3/3 shot groups, and so far it has held zero pretty well after about 100-125 rounds. My biggest gripe was the trigger which was horrid out of the box. I found a video on you tube on how to adjust it, and that made a huge difference. The trigger is now acceptable. I bought it to take care of a pest problem in my back yard (rabbits). I am happy with this purchase, and would recommend this to anyone seeking good target, or pest control rifle.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not what I expected I bought this made in the USA rifle, and other than the overly heavy trigger pull (even after adjustment) it seems to shoot well - keeping most groups within an inch at 25 yards. The scope on the other hand - not so great. It never would consistently respond to adjustments, so I gave up and bought a different scope and then had the rifle zeroed-in within 5 shots.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Trigger Sucks Recently bought this gun thinking it would be a great considering Jim Shockey has his name on it . I like the but the trigger is horrible... by the time the gun fires you have pulled the barrel off the target. Really disappointed in this trigger. At first I thought it was the scope but found out it's the trigger. Cannot zero this rifle in until I get a new trigger spring... and where do I find one?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from First impressions .22 cal 75 +/- stoeger 14.3 grain pellets.so far. Sighting in was easy - started at 10 yards and walked back to my preferred range of 35 yards (until I move my fence another 10 yds). Shooting from sitting position, without any aids hitting a 2" gong consistent half the time. Not bad during break in and no resting aids. Working on fine tuning trigger adjustment. Not as bad as some reviewers state - I guess they want a silk purse for a sow's ear price. Scope does not adjust for magnification as advertised on box. No biggy but going to contact crossman to discuss. Ratings are based on the cost. If this was a $600 Diana, I'd be more particular.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fun to Shoot I'm not a hunter. I shoot targets in the back yard. I have shot over 1,000 round thought it in the past year and keeps a good group at 30 yards. I made a target out of an old fire extinguisher and at 30 yards this gun will put a good dent in it. It's not too loud. My neighbors don't complain. This gun has enough power to take out the pest around your property.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great stock I had the og np1 was a good rifle but wasn't a fan of the thumb hole stock but when i saw the steel eagle XD i had to have out its been a great gun but within 200 rds of the crosman primers i noticed the rifle get a little louder so i inspected it and noticed the breech seal has a hairline crack in it.... I'm not whining or complaining just hoping this review gets me a link to where to buy this part as i can not find one...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Rifle (up-date) Bought the Steel Eagle .22 8/15/17 I have 160 pellets through it and first off all it is quite!!! Measured the dB inside and averaged 70dB absolutely the best!!! And it is already very, very accurate, picture shows a 10 pellet group at 20 yards from a kneeling position. Still using the factory scope and it functions well. However I feel the Big reason for this good shooting is the great ergonomics. The trigger could be a little lighter, even after adjusting it is still a bit heavy. Only disappointment is the finishing of the breach on the shroud (see picture). As you can see it has not effected the rifle's accuracy as of yet, but it is not worthy of such a good product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great rifle Bought the Steel Eagle .22 8/15/17 Since the short time I owned it the rifle has been great. The first shots where a little load, but after it set in the it is nice and "quite". Accuracy is good a flyer here and there but that is to expected because I am still in the break-in period. The power so far seems good as well. How ever what makes this gun great is the ergonomics. Very comfortable in field positions but is very comfortable to shoot of a rest. This gun is absolutely one of the most comfortable guns I ever held!!! Will update after the break-in period
