Nice Price

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Been looking for a 2 person free standing tent with least amount of weight for my budget. This tent met all my needs. Perfect for my weekend trips

Easy Set Up

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Easy set up first time around. Held up well through a fairly windy night. The stakes aren’t great but other than that a great tent. I haven’t used it long enough to be a 5.

Solid Tent

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a solid, well made, functional tent. It could use a vent in the rain fly, but otherwise, it’s a good weight, sized right for one person, easy to set up, and can handle being set up anywhere.

There Are Probably Much Better Tents Out There...

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] but certainly not at this price. I was looking for a freestanding tent for me and my partner to use for short backpacking trips since right now we only have a tarp set up. We are not serious backpackers so I did not want to spend big bucks, and when I saw this it looked perfect. And it kinda is...light enough for multi-day use, solidly built, easy to set up. I did not however, look at the footprint measurements and it does not fit our double mat. Not the fault of the tent, but as others have mentioned, it is a tight squeeze for two. Was expecting just a little more room. Still, I'll be keeping since anything bigger at the same weight or lighter is 2 or 3 times the price.

Great Value

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a great tent for the price. It's not perfect though. The body and fly materials are more rugged than lighter tents, which is probably why they are heavier. The zippers and stitching are higher quality than I expected based on the price. Everything feels high quality and well made, which is what I would expect from Big Agnes tents that cost twice as much. The tradeoffs are significant though and you should definitely factor them in before pulling the trigger. The tent isn't light, and it's bulkier than you'd expect in your pack. The one door is annoying too. And the interior room... Isn't great. At this price point the tent might be considered "light," but they get there by trimming inches. I'm 5'8", 180lbs, my 9 year old son is about 60lbs. The two of us just fit in it but it's a good thing we're related. I figure we have about 3 more years before we grow out of it. Stashing your pack in it while you sleep is tough too. Some odds and ends: the tent stakes out better than any I've used and any price. It's also keeps out the weather better than all others I've used. But condensation can be an issue if you don't keep the breeze in mind when setting it up. Would I buy the tent again? Definitely. The tradeoffs are worth the price and it's very well made. Just make sure it's for you!
