Solid Backpacking Tent

I've only used this outside of backpacking so far, but I can say the construction is solid. I had tried to use a semi-freestanding tent before this one, but it's the Copper Spur I wanted. It's spacious, sturdy, and easily put together. You could get lighter tents but you have to hike your own hike.

Great Tent!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Purchased this tent for a hike on the NaPali coast! Was easy to set up and highly recommend! Plenty of room, comfortable and nice quality. Glad I purchased it.

Great Little Tent

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this to replace my 14 year old kelty for backpacking with my dog. I was surprised by the strength of the material considering it feels very thin and fragile in your hand. I am happy to report after two trips with a two year old lab with uncut nails, this tent has held up phenomenally with out any tears or punctures. It is incredibly lightweight and packs well. The overall construction of the tent(zippers, buckles, poles, ect.) is very well made and worth the price. Its also one of the more user friendly small tents, as it is equipped with pockets galore.

Solid Lightweight Tent

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Excellent and well thoughtout design. Easy to set up,. Compact and light in my pack. It works well for two people and is light enough to use as a spacious one person tent. I have only used it three times and it has not rained so I don't know how waterproof it is. My only complaint is that it is not easy (possible?) to get the fly tight so it doesn't flap in the wind. I have played around with it, but have yet to figure out the trick.

Rocky Mountain Perfection.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this tent to take on a 5 night back country trip to Colorado. Could not have been happier with the performance. Easy set up and tear down. Very stable in blustery conditions. Plenty of time for me and my gear with the dual vestibules.

Excellent Tent

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very happy to have bought this tent. I am using it as a 1 person tent for backpacking and am very happy with the weight and size. I don't think this would be a good tent for 2 people due to the tapered end, but it could be done if not using wide sleeping pads. Would recommend

Great Product Great Service

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this tent and when I received it and put it together to test it, the tent pole cracked wide open. It was really strange considering I trust big Agnes and have other products including another tent. Returning it was super easy and smooth and the support center replaced it no questions asked and after opening this one it was great. Thanks team!

Great Tent!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This tent is the sweet spot for me between light weight, room and features. It's easy to set up, has plenty of room, useful interior pockets and the rainfly provides great coverage. I like having a little extra room in the tent and use this as a one person tent. The only time I would reach for something lighter would be if the terrain was going to be extremely steep/high. 99% of the time, for me, the extra ounces are more than made up for by the extra comfort and ease of set up.

The Go-to 2 Person Tent

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This tent was virtually unavailable for the first 2 years of the pandemic, and with good reason. The value you get with this tent is really high. We had been previously using the Big Agnes Jackrabbit 2, and this tent feels like a v3 of that tent. It has very similar size/shape/features, but it's lighter and thought out better. The one thing you won't get with this tent is a ground tarp. You can use a sheet of Tyvek or something, but the Big Agnes tarp is nice if you want to use the frame and fly without the tent- the poles need something to clip into or the frame won't hold it's shape.

Great Backpack Tent.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought a couple months ago. Easy to set up and light weight when packing. Haven’t used in bad weather yet. But breezy in warm weather. Can’t wait for next trip.

Was Really Excited About This Tent

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Our first night using the tent it got a puncture hole in the bottom. Kind of disappointed because it was very expensive. May have been our fault for not choosing a better caping site but still really bummed because this tent was highly recommended.

All The Little Things Right

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We were looking for a lightweight easy to pack 2 person tent and couldn't be happier with the Copper Spur HV UL 2. This is a big improvement from earlier model with side entries for both people, ample vestibule storage and headroom. But also all the little touches are great, with color coding applied to the fly, foot, poles and tent to help aid with setup front to back. Highly reflective cords that are easily seen at night to prevent U from tripping over them if duty calls in the middle of the night. Better and more netting storage internally. Well thought out!! Only quibble, the tent stakes could be a bit longer.

Perfect Tent

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this tent for my adult daughter. I wanted something that was very lightweight, functional, good headroom, and tough. I've been a Big Agnes tent user for decades and have become a super-fan over the years. I looked at all the tents out there and this was hands down the best tent for a young backpacker with a dog. She has used it now for two years, in all kinds of weather, in four countries, hundreds of miles and it has had zero issues. She especially loves the awning-style vestibules. In awning mode, she can easily cook when it's raining or sit on her sit-pad in the shade when it's too hot outside. I can't say enough nice things about how perfect this tent has been and I expect it will last many years to come.

Lightweight And Easy!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Prettttttttty happy with this tent. Was a little hesitant because the fabric seems like it wouldn't stand up to untrimmed nails, but it's much more durable than it feels. Set up is super easy and quick. Best of all: the weight. I will say: me, my partner, and our 50 lbs dog are very cozy in this guy, so if you want space to spread out, size up.
