The sheet-like bottom part covers and protects the mattress, while the thickly insulated top locks in the warmth. Really Wanted To Love This Bag

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Didn't use this bag camping because the "bottom" of the bag is just a thin sheet. I noticed other reviewers also mentioned this but I assumed there would be a small amount of padding, but there is none. I find any sort of air mattress or sleeping pad that needs to be blown up (vs, say, an insulated pad) to sleep very cold, so I need a layer between myself and the air mattess, so I'll be returning it. I did love that the interior felt more like a sheet than most, which I find a lot more comfortable to sleep in. I'd probably keep this if it had any sort of insulation on the bottom side.
