  • The amount of beans you need will depend on the size of your chair and how flat it is: small chairs may need 1-2 bags, while larger chairs may require more. For child safety and durability reasons, all Big joe bean filled chairs have two zippers with their pulls intentionally removed before shipment.
  • To open your Big Joe, place a paperclip into the first zipper head, pull to open, and then repeat on the second zipper.
  • Detailed instructions can be found on the warning label attached to your Big Joe. And, you can use our fill packs for other reasons: packing material, arts and crafts, you name it!

Lots Of Regular Use And They Hold Up Great!

One bag each was enough to satisfactorily refill each of the two bean bags we have ! We have the chair shaped ones and they were super out of shape. I will say they still each had some beans left. They now sit upright and are extremely comfortable for use in the library area. Bean bag won’t even open to fill it with the beans! They must know the bean bag chairs go flat in less than a month! Because they said they give one free bean refill within 30 days I think. I need to return the beans, since I can’t get the bean bag open. I’ve had everyone try & written to Big Joe. I just want a refund or a new one since it says a year warranty !
