Bought them for a Mtn Goat hunt in BC. Taking a tarp tent, so the poles will be doing triple duty. (Hiking poles, tent poles, and glassing shelter support in the rain. ) If things go well they may get used as shooting sticks.

My Fav Poles
I’ve used a ton of trekking poles and these are by far my favorite. They’re super lightweight and the cork handles feel great.

Couldn’t Have Made It Up Mt. Whitney Without Them.
When I was backpacking in my early 20s I always went without trekking poles. Recently scored permits for Mt. Whitney and knew that trekking poles would be essential. Bought these and they were great! Light weight, comfortable in the hands. Couldn’t have made it up (or down) without them.

This Trekking Poles Has A Serious Product Issue
The lower shaft, about the bottom 3–4" of the pole can NOT be fully locked in place when the pole is in folding position, the diameter of that tapering in section is too small for the locking mechanism to engage properly, that results the lower shaft can be easily slide in and out, even I tightened the flick lock by using the provided tool (Allen Wrench), still doesn’t work, this is a serious product issue.
