Is the better carabiners yes. is there better belay devices yes. is this a great value to enter into climbing 10000% highly recommend this as a first setup to get a base in the gym or with the help of a more experienced climber. If you are wanting a very safe belay device for medium to tall routes then get something that is a little more fool proof and safe.
