I borrowed a friend’s pair of GlideLite ski trekkers and enjoyed them so much I bought my own. I love them. They allow you to glide and also act as snowshoes. I found they do not stress my knees as snowshoes sometimes do. They are not for large hills but are best for flatter areas. Now another friend borrowed mine and decided to purchase some too. Very pleased with the GlideLites and also the quick delivery of them.

After living in Colorado for 5 years, I moved to Michigan and have since missed the outdoor activities in the Winter months. I am an avid cross country skier and snow shoe-er so these have been high on my list for a while. The trouble with XC skis is the need for groomed trailed and rewaxing with change in conditions. Shoe shoeing is fun but I have a need for speed. Unfortunately the Glidelites have been sold out on EV so I bit the bullet and paid full price and let me tell you, I am so pleased! These are my go to outdoor activity in the Winter. This product is different than anything I have experienced before, the glide motion is similar to that of ski touring, but way more maneuverable and easy to use with boot bindings. I own the size 127's and they are perfect for trails, groomed or ungroomed and can turn nicely in deep snow on the downhills after some practice. For shoes I would recommend waterproof boots that are highly durable and have high ankle support. I use a Zamberlan size 12 hiking boot and it works well, and the adjustable bindings allow any size shoe to fit. I also recommend a good pair of cross country ski poles for additional thrust when gliding. Overall, I would highly recommend these to anyone looking to try something new, and has access to hiking trails or wants to explore new terrain in deep snow. Everyone I show them too wants to try them so I will definitely be keeping my eyes peeled for another pair

Skis are great as an alternative for cross country or snowshoes. They have a nice wide base, skins are great for climbing, and edges help with the downhills. Bindings are adjustable to fit a wide range of boot.

They're great on flat ground as 'faster snowshoes', and I suppose if you really want to you CAN glide downhill in them, but not very well. It's a lot of stop and go as the skins engage and I haven't really been impressed with the uphill or downhill ability of them. So in summary, they fill a narrow gap in the quiver but they fill that gap well enough.

Stability and off trail chops of a snowshoe-glide and fun of a metal edge backcountry ski. Here is a picture of my 70 year old mom using them! She can't get enough of them!
