Excellent 3 Season Gloves

Marketed as lightweight ski mountaineering gloves, these are also a good choice for trail running in cold weather or surprise snow storms on a summer background trip. They are comfy in the 30’s especially with the wind hood. They breathe fairly well into the low 40’s without the wind hood, even on the skin track. They are not that warm below freezing, at least for long periods of time and/or the hardiest folks. They do not have any touch screen capability and the lack of wrist leash makes it a touch easier to lose them as my only minor gripes. However reasonable trade off for the weight. I also own a pair of the lightweight soft shell gloves from BD. The material is a bit thicker and the wrists are longer. Also the palms on these are sturdier. Similar dexterity. Overall though, really enjoy them. For true winter conditions I would recommend a true winter set of gloves as well though.

Good Gear, Bad Service

Love the gloves, but DO NOT use their size chart. It is 2 sizes too small when measuring as they describe. I had to return them AND pay the shipping. It is their fault, so they should take responsibility. Of course, there is no phone number to lodge a complaint or ask a question.

If Only They Had Touchscreen Fingers

A great glove. Unlike some others (Cirque and Softshell mitt) they have a cuff that covers your wrist. Add a nice mix of warmth, breathability and grip and they would be on my hands most of the time. Also great: cover for the thumb. So many convertible mitts leave the thumb bare. But, no touch screen capability. The whole idea with thin gloves is being able to keep them in all the time: that means dexterity and good touch screen capability for navigation and picture on a phone.

Go-to Touring Gloves

These are perfect for touring. Light enough to not overheat, but with the potential for the mitten when the wind picks up or for the ski down. The material seems incredibly durable.
