The Serac's redesigned stainless steel construction incorporates a strong, yet light design with rocker in the front rail to accommodate modern mountain boots. Great Crampons

Highly recommended. Can attach to any boot. I suggest getting the extension.

Great Mountaineering Tool

These are great for boots where you have a rear lip on your boot. They secure very well and give great traction.

Great Crampon For Basic Mountaineering

Very great crampon, really solid on ice without any slippage. Fits really good on just about any hiking boot as long as you strap it on right. I would recommend learning how it’s supposed to be tied on before you’re out of service and decide to put them on hahaha

Exceptionally Well Built Crampons

Clip version, first impressions: amazing construction, very rigid, fits my size 46 Scarpa Ribelle HD very well with a few pins left for even bigger boots, sharp enough out-of-the-box, feels very stable and comfortable to walk in, reasonable weight. I will update the review if any issues arise, but from the initial testing - these are one of the tougher crampons I've ever tried. Good job, Black Diamond! The only suggestion: at this level of quality, Black Diamond would reduce it's profit merely by a margin of a percentile point by including a soft and light cordura or similar tougher material bag for the crampons. All those bigger "crampon bags" (BD has one sold separately too) are not really needed in the field (too much space/weight), thus a simple bag, where one could put the crampons (tied together, teeth inside) just to separate them from the rest of the gear, would do miracles :) P.S. I've just looked around my gear and somehow see 70-80% of it being from BD. Need to add a disclosure on my helmet or somewhere else visible that I'm not actively promoting you :D

Best Crampons For A Snowboard Boot

I needed something flexible for a snowboard boot, and these fit the bill. After multiple uses, I can say I love them and am so happy I bought them. They can be modified to fit a lot of sizes and the straps are long enough and then can be tucked away. I've been backcountry skiing and ice climbing in these!

My first pair of crampons for an upcoming Mt. Hood climb, went out with them recently and they are great. I opted for the heel bail option and felt very secure.

What a great product while climbing in BC I kept sliding down the mountain. Installing the crampons were easy in deep snow and icy conditions. After putting the crampons on it was a game changer. Life was so much easier climbing the mountain.

Used these for the Whitney Mountaineer’s route in late April on a mix of snow and rock. They held up well with no notable wear. Super sticky on the snow and a firm grip on mountaineering boots.
