Great Features But Useless Instruction Manual
The manual has only drawings of how to use the headlamp which were almost useless to me-it also had brief text (in several languages) but this was totally useless. I had to google it so to learn how the lamp functions, but I still don't completely understand/will go to the store for help. But-the lamp is much brighter (in spotlight mode) than the one I've owned-I really like this. I hope its runtime will be longer than the one I've owned. I use the lamp primarily so to be able to tend to outdoor plants, given fewer daylight hours.

Light, Bright. Awkward Controls.
The Spot has been my favorite headlamp for many years. It's latest generation is even lighter than its predecessors, and I appreciate the ability to use BD 1500 battery (although having to use separate charger is inconvenient). The problem with the latest Spot is awkward controls. The PowerTap button is very easy to press accidentally, I keep switching brightness when I just want to adjust my hat or glasses. The other two buttons are so close together that operating them in gloves is extremely difficult. Overall, I think my older Spot is more practical. Oh, and Black Diamond, please, use USB-C for charging, don't make me bring micro-USB cable specifically for the headlamp!

Perfect Headlamp For Me
This headlamp is an excellent choice for me… Easy on off, and once I looked it up on the Internet, I found access to the battery compartment was easy by using the plastic part of the headband. The light is very bright and illuminate the areas around me very well. I have used it inside the house when the power went out. Very pleased with my purchase.

Perfect Headlamp!
Headlamp did exactly what I expected of it! Did an 8 hr night hike , and it got us to the right place safely. Also very comfortable wear as well!

Good Choice
Confusion with rechargeable pack and having to buy additional battery. It runs through regular batteries kinda quick. Otherwise works well, and is perfect on a hat.
