You don't need another review telling you how great these Stingers are for steep ice. What you do need to know is that these Stingers are great for alpine climbing for places like Mt Baker or Mount Rainer, they were great on the North Ridge of Baker - but they were just as good on Edmonds Glacier and other "cow" paths on Rainer. They might be a few ounces of over kill on these alpine routes but they are almost a one size fits all for alpine climbing and ice climbing.

Easy to fit to any boot. Durable. Good for technical ice and mixed. Single front point with no fuss.

Been ice climbing with these in ouray and lake city, Colorado. Using them with 2023 scarpa phantom techs - easy mount dismount, no heal pinching.

I got these from a recommendation from a buddy and they do not disappoint. Shopping was super fast!🤙

I’ve borrowed these crampons from friends in the past as well as other crampons and I have liked these the most so I finally pulled the trigger. Super easy to adjust, mono point is the way to go for me and pretty durable. Can’t wait to get these out on some more ice!

I just upgraded my crampons to the singers and love them!!

Wore out my last pair guiding, can only sharpen them so many times! (yes the bottom points lol) Only issue I ever had was the front bail snapped...while leading *yikes* Cheaper plated metal, not stainless steel like the good ol' days. Please consider fixing this on future models. That said they are a fantastic crampon!

Got the email that the stingers were back in stock last week and ran to the outfitter to grab my pair! Can’t wait for this season! Like all BD crampons they are solid! Never used monos before and can’t with to see if the hype is real!

I used to climb a lot some 20+ years ago and decided to get back into it. The ease of use and the holding power of the mono point is impressive on the brittle glacier fronts that I have worked on in the last few weeks. I'm very happy with this purchase. One mishap after three days of using: the stainless retainer clip that keeps the length of the crampon to your needs did somehow bend open a bit and it wouldn't stay to what you set it to. I needed some special tools to get in the clip to bend it back.

Had been climbing in the blade runners, but couldn’t find replacement front points, so ordered some Stingers. They climb great, easy to set the fit and and didn’t ball snow while walking around. Like all BD gear, super solid piece of equipment.

A upgrade from Sabertooths. Even with the loss of a second front-point, my feet feel more secure in these on all ice that I've climbed. Can't say I've felt the same mixed climbing in these, however.

I have had a couple pairs of Stingers over the years and they are always super high performing, confidence inspiring, long lasting, and durable. Pretty much everything I want in my gear.

I have previously tried a number of different crampons and even had the cyborg crampons and converted them to mono point and I decided I would give these a try. Really like the feel and fit. So far they have held up with not issues. Will see how they do for the rest of the season!

Great crampon, well built, mono point makes a world of difference. Surprisingly its actually very stable and penetrates the ice with little effort.
