[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used these on a 7.5 mile hike with 3400 feet of elevation gain -- it was constantly up and down -- and they were great. Some of the adjustment clasps were difficult to close, but once I wrangled them, the poles stayed put and didn't shrink or expand without my consent. (I've borrowed poles that shrank when I leaned on them.) These are the first hiking poles I've owned, and I'm excited to get more use out of them.
