The cork is comfortable and absorbent, I am a very sweaty hiker living in a high temperature area so it important for me to have a secure grip. I only wanted poles with cork grips. I am enjoying how the poles make my hikes more of a full body workout than not having any and my knees are much happier. I have already caught myself one with a pole when I would have slipped on some risky ground and my stream crossings are more secure with more limbs. The carbide tips are very reliable at finding purchase along the trail. I am trying to get my husband to buy a pair for himself. He is only 2 inches taller than me and these were a good value. An investment in our joints and hiking safety.
