I never had a Basting cover This works great for melting cheese on cheese burgers and other things It worked great the quality of the product is great also. Cleanup is easy because its dishwasher safe. I would have given this 5 stars, if the thin cardboard label wasn't under the plastic handle. For a person who doesn't have tools this would have been a problem. If the label wasn't removed, the cardboard would eventually disintegrate, and the handle would become loose and would be unsanitary. I hope someone at Blackstone pays attention to this review
