Comparing To The Wingman

This is a good unit. My comparison is the Bushnell Wingman. The Wingman connectivity is flaky-especially the little remote which has to be separately paired. While the Player doesn't have a separate remote, it's not really necessary. I've used the Player for a few rounds. Here are observations: -The sound is very good. Better than Bushnell. -The battery drains much faster. I used it for 27 holes and the battery was near 0. Probably due to the lights on the unit. The screen is very bright. I probably have it set to bright, but on a sunny day, it's really important. -It's accurate. Extremely. The True feature takes into account slope. Bushnell doesn't have that. -The magnet is an issue. On the slightest bump, I thought is was going to fall off. That's bad. I live in the mountains; we have bumps. Bushnell-never thought the unit would fall off. The Player was clinging by a thread on several occasions. Feel like I'm going to need velcro. -The game app is on a par with Bushnell's. -The scorekeeping feature is nice and might be good for others. I don't see myself using it.

Great Tool, But...

I'm really trying to love this but it's falling short in a few areas: - speaker is inferior to my Soundcore and a friend's Bose - both were less expensive - the app is sometimes glitchy and will freeze on the speaker but be fine on my watch and phone app - a competitor's free app is just as good, if not better - the battery life is SHORT and having the app and music run on my phone also drains the battery. The good: - I do love having my speaker, watch, phone integrated with distances - I like how you can sync with another speaker - altho it was slightly off I'm not sure I'm going to keep it. All of the free apps also integrate with GHIN, my watch, and are just as good, if not better. I want to love this so badly but I don't think it's worth the money and membership. Yet....if I change my mind, I'll update accordingly. It IS a fun toy to have!
