Perfect

Just the right size for my 13 yo twins before they move to the 7 footer

Rust

I wanted a short cheapish weight bar. It does that great. I was willing to pay a bit more though for black. It did come with the thick nasty oil to prevent rust, I left it on to avoid the rust and put up with the oil. However, after 4 weeks of use in the cold and garage kept it looks rust colored from across the room. Not just the area were the weights rub but all of the bar. Its a great product for use but dont pay the extra for black.

Great, But...

I bought this bar online through the store having gone there to make the purchase but it wasn't a stocked item. Packed securely and shipped quickly, it arrived within a couple of days in perfect condition. It's well made and just what I needed.Two issues - one, as another reviewer commented, the bar comes with what I assume is an anti-rust coating that's a little messy to remove. It would be nice if some instructions came for that. Maybe there were and I just didn't see them.And two - the clerk who took the order told me my email address would be used only to communicate regarding the order. Now a day doesn't pass without multiple emails from Dick's and they drive me nuts. I've gone through the unsubscribe process twice to no avail.
