I’ve had this bench now for 6 years and it’s still in excellent condition and works great, well built and very sturdy and versatile.

What A Piece Of Junk

I had thought that Body Solid built good equipment for the serious person who wants fairly good home gym. I made the purchase believing that...what a HUGE mistake. This bench is horrible on so many levels for the serious person who works out it is not even funny. 1) The gap between the seat and the back rest is huge, but for some reason you cannot set the back rest at 90 degrees because the back rest pad does not allow it to. 2) If you are probably over the height of 5'-10" tall you will never be able to do seated leg extensions because the placement of the leg extension insert is too close to the bench and your legs will extend past the leg extension. 3) Take a look at the picture of the junk welding placement for the leg extension drop in. It was welded in place crooked which makes the leg extension go in crooked, and then the pin is hard to get inserted. 4) The big round piping that they used to support the bench is constantly getting in the way as it sticks up way too high and is a trip hazard. It gets in the way for feet placement when doing most exercises like bench presses. This bench is a joke for anyone who really works out. If I could have given in a zero that would have been the rating it deserves.
